The Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA) is of Africa and for Africa.

Based on the continent since our inception in1969, we’ve been developing and delivering strategic programmes that support and advance professional growth, good governance, strategic thinking and wellbeing in our member schools for over 50- years; the ultimate goal being the transformation and improvement of student learning, celebrating excellence and innovation from Africa.

Full School Membership

AISA welcomes applications from any elementary and/or secondary school in Africa that offers an international curriculum using English as the primary language of instruction. Membership is awarded to schools that are committed to international-mindedness and intercultural competence which we expect to be reflected in the school’s mission and vision.

Affiliate School Membership

Affiliate Membership is for schools undergoing accreditation, enabling them to access the benefits of membership which will support their accreditation journey. This is a temporary membership with schools needing to achieve accreditation within 5 years of joining.

Associate Membership

Do you believe in the infinite potential of international education in Africa? We do, and we invite all businesses and organisations who support our mission and who can offer quality products and services to our members to become part of our AISA community.

Individual Membership

Individual Membership is now available to elementary and secondary school educators and co-professionals currently employed in internationally accredited schools anywhere in the world who wish to attend AISA Professional Learning events.
