Using the High Quality Project Based Learning framework, you will ensure rigorous and collaborative learning as you guide students in selecting real-world issues that matter to them. The course models different components of the project experience to support you in learning how to facilitate these kinds of projects. This course is designed for all teachers regardless of implementation model. The online facilitation can be easily modified for hybrid or in-person models. Some background in project- or constructivist-based learning will be helpful but is not required.

Session Aim

Develop students ability to engage in relevant, self-directed high-quality project experiences online.

Learning Objectives

  • Apply the High-Quality Project-Based Learning Framework to student-led projects
  • Adapt a project implementation cycle to align with learning goals and student interests
  • Experience components of high-quality project-based learning and modify for classroom use
  • Strengthen ability to facilitate independent student-led projects online while maintaining strong peer-to-peer collaboration
